WHY COLOURS

Colours Affiliate Program has been developed by PFLA for Schools to provide quality pre-primary education.Colours is a unique research based curriculum designed and developed considering the developmental stages of early childhood education.The curriculum comes with books and support system.
Through curriculum, we create learning environment that instils creativity, exploration and discovery.Effective implementation of the curriculum will enable children to experience a richer transition into primary education.

Teachers Training Certification Program (ITTC and ATTC)

During 2010-11, we started offering Teacher Orientation programs at Schools for 1, 2 and 3 days. That has led us to dive deep into understanding the challenges Schools face in hiring and retaining Teachers. When we did a survey, the outcome is that the Schools look for Quality Teachers, Committed Teachers who are passionate in teaching and most importantly Skilled Teachers who can also communicate effectively.
In order to serve Schools better, we have designed and developed a program called Integrated Teachers Training Certificate Program (ITTC). It is an integrated approach taking the best practices of Montessori, NTT and Waldorf methodology. The main purpose is to:

• To equip individuals with advanced tools, techniques and methods to be effective teachers and reach out to students
• To develop confidence and self-esteem in individuals with skill, content and attitude
• To help individuals communicate effectively
• To help individuals create student centric classrooms
• To help individuals develop values like love & Compassion

Presently, we have two Certificate Programs “ITTC” Integrated Teachers Training Certificate program which is a 6 month program for aspiring Teachers who wish to teach at Pre-Schools up to Primary level and ATTC (Advanced Teachers Training program) One year program for in-service Teachers. We are keen and determined to offer quality programs and are continuously striving hard to improve quality and develop innovate and useful modules that are functional and not just theoretical. We have successfully completed 25 batches and have created Teaching job opportunities for them. Few of them have also become entrepreneurs in the process

Multisensory approach

We follow Multisensory Approach in teaching is the simultaneous stimulation of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-tactile to enhance memory and learning.
A multi-sensory approach, also referred as “hands-on approach” implies that students learn best when information is presented in different modalities. The belief is that students learn a new concept best when it is taught using the four modalities. A multi-sensory approach is one that integrates sensory activities. The students see, hear, and touch and feel.
We have developed our activities and curriculum keeping multi-sensory approach in mind.

Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is unstructured, without rules or time limits, and involves little adult guidance. Children are allowed to learn naturally, on their own terms and learn through exploring, experiencing, crating, discovering relating to and interacting with the world around them.

Building cognitive skills

Cognitive development allows preschool-age children ages 3 to 6 years old to develop their own questions about the world around them and how it works. Preschool-age children learn by playing, listening, watching, asking questions and doing things for themselves. These activities help a child's brain develop and understand more complex thoughts and processes as they grow.
Play is crucial for cognitive development. Play promotes healthy brain development and helps children build confidence, begin to solve problems and work with others. These skills help children build leadership skills, group skills and become more creative -- important skills that a child needs to succeed throughout life.

Language Development

Language development is a critical part of child’s overall development. It supports child’s ability to communicate, express and understand feelings. It supports thinking and problem-solving, and developing relationships. Learning to understand, use and enjoy language is the critical first step in literacy, and the basis for learning to read and write.
Our various activities that we offer in Colours program helps them achieve this.

Till date, we have graduated 26 batches and have successfully placed them at different Schools and Preschools.

We are keen and determined to offer quality programs and are continuously striving hard to improve quality and develop innovate and useful modules that are functional and not just theoretical. We have successfully completed 25 batches and have created Teaching job opportunities for them. Few of them have also become entrepreneurs in the process.

The modules that we offer are Child Psychology – Stages of Child Development – 0 to 21, Classroom Management – MI, Out of Class Activities, Behaviour Management, Relationship Management, Effective Communication Skills, EI, Learning and Teaching styles, Montessori and Nursery Teaching Methodology, Art and Craft, Teaching Aid to name few with practical work and simple independent research work.

We have coached and trained over 40000 people that include School Teachers, School and College Students and Corporate Employees and parents.
